Roadtrip!
Tomorrow, I’m off to see the Newsboys with a good friend and my two oldest kids. Some things for which I am thankful;
That my kids have a great youth group to hang out with and that there are leaders willing to step up and take on that challenging role. Acquire the Fire is next weekend!
That my kids want to follow good role models like the Newsboys and whoever else is floating around the Christian music charts.
That I have something in common with them that we can enjoy together. I cannot imagine in a million years, my father ever taking me to a Christian rock concert. He was uncomfortable with the Praise albums of the 70s.
Ok, I have to quickly brag about my oldest daughter here. What were most kids doing during spring break? Well she went to work at an orphanage in Mexico for a week. Had a great experience with a bunch of her friends and came away with a new appreciation for her life. Another thing I’m thankful for is that there were adults willing to take these kids for a week on a mission trip.
One last thing. Please pray that I will have more of a worshipful experience and that I won’t get distracted by all of the smoke and pretty lights.

Got back around 2am and we had an awesome time. We signed up for Globaltribe and got to meet the band. My daughter had done hand drawings of all the members and hand them sign each of her pictures. The other funny part was that we had made up a poster of the original NB band when Peter had hair down his back. We unfolded it during Breakfast as we were in the front row and Peter almost had a heart attack when he saw it. Very funny. I’ll try to post some photos later.
